His funeral will be held on Wednesday 10th September 2008 at 2.00pm

Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground, Tysoe, Nr Banbury, Oxfordshire. The burial ground is on the A422 Banbury to Stratford Road some 7 miles out of Banbury. There is a good description of how to get there on the grounds' web site which also contains links to detailed Maps |

John asked for a 'bloody good send-off' and his family would be delighted if friends and colleagues could join them at The Wroxton House Hotel after the burial. The hotel is on the A422 just five minutes from Banbury on the way to and from The Burial Ground. Full details on the hotel's web site If you are able to join us for that part of the day please can you let us know in advance so that we have an idea of numbers for catering. There will be family flowers only but friends and colleagues are invited to make a donation in John's memory to Cancer Research UK who were instrumental in some of his treatment. There will be an offertory box at the Burial Ground or alternatively donations can be sent to J & M Humphris, Funeral Directors, Albert Street, Banbury, Oxfordshire OX16 5DG up to five weeks later. There is limited shelter at The Burial Ground and wellies and brollies would be useful (essential) if the weather is wet. Dress: Black not essential
